WaveLab 3.04b Update Adds New Features May 27, 2001
Steinberg today announced the availability of WaveLab 3.04a for Windows 98/2000 and NT. WaveLab
combines one of the most user-friendly stereo editors currently available with a whole range of
processing capabilities, effects, Red-Book compatibility, CD burning software, audio analysis,
an audio file database, batch processing and sampler support.
In addition, WaveLab 3.0 goes even further with the introduction of its new Audio-Montage
Window - a revolutionary, non-destructive editing concept whose flexibility and power set it
firmly apart from other audio software solutions.
The new release is free of charge for WaveLab Users and offers a range of new features.
It is now possible to burn CD-Text from a CD-Montage with CDR info dialog checking if the
burner device is capable of writing CD-Text.
Also WaveLab now directly supports HALion, Steinberg's brand new Software Sampler. You can drag
and drop from an audio file selection directly onto the HALion keyzone editor. You can also
more simply use copy and paste. Just copy the wave selection in WaveLab, then paste it onto the
HALion keyzone editor.
WaveLab is now optimized for Pentium IV Processors (the previous version was already
optimized for Pentium III, II, Pro, MMX).
The minimum clip length in the Audio Montage has been changed from 100 ms to 20 ms.
The frequency resolution of the 3D frequency analysis has been multiplied by 8. This gives a
better resolution in the low frequencies (2.7 Hz).
Markers are now copied along with audio when doing copy/paste or drag and drop of regions in
audio file windows.
Also the latest CDR drivers are installed in this patch. An update Patch is available from the Steinberg web site. For more information, visit their web site at www.steinberg.net. |
