Emagic announced the release of the very first version of
Logic Platinum 5 for Mac OS X. This is accompanied by the simultaneous
release of Mac OS X hardware drivers for Emagic's range of USB MIDI and
audio interfaces. Logic Platinum 5 OS X is single software package combining
digital audio recording and editing, digital signal processing, software
instruments, MIDI sequencing and music notation. The Unitor8, AMT8 and MT4
MIDI interfaces fit a wide spectrum of requirements, and the EMI 2|6 is the
ideal portable USB audio interface.
"This marks the first time that an integrated suite of software and hardware
products is available on a next generation operating system," says Dr
Gerhard Lengeling, Chief Developer at Emagic, "and is a milestone in the
development of computer-assisted audio and music production."
Emagic has also made it's offer to registered users of Logic 5 for Windows more appealing. In addition to getting a free license for the Macintosh version of the same Logic product,, users can receive a $250 instant rebate on a new Mac. The proof of purchase from the new Mac can then be used to get any Emagic software product valued up to $399.
