New features expand power of Command Stations and Module
E-MU's Version 2.00 Operating System for its Command Stations/Module offers users a host of new features that enhance its live performance features as well as its powerful sequencer section. One of the most exciting new live offerings is XMix, a great new feature that allows you to replace tracks of a playing pattern on-the-fly with tracks from another pattern. It's designed both for performance use and as a quick way to experimentally swap tracks. The new Direct Pattern Access function lets you assign and fire off patterns using the 16 Trigger buttons. The Key Up Layer function allows you to program keys to play sounds when released instead of when pressed -- perfect for traditional piano and harpsichord key up sounds as well as for creating complex new sounds that trigger instruments when released.
