Introducing QuadMic and OctaMic, RME's new 4-channel and 8-channel microphone preamps. Both units offer phantom power, low cut filter and phase reversal, all switchable per channel. A discrete Class-A front end and the choice of the current reference level for the balanced line output guarantee highest sonic satisfaction. Furthermore, both units can be operated with nearly any power supply available, including batteries.
QuadMic offers 4 balanced XLR mic inputs. Each channel contains switches for 48V phantom power, a low cut filter and phase reversal. Amplification can be set between 10 and 60 dB. LEDs for signal, clip, and activated phantom power complete the list of features. The balanced line level output signal is available at the back of the unit via stereo TRS jacks. The output reference level is switchable between +4 dBu or --10 dBV. RME's universal rackmount holder can be used to fit the QuadMic into any 19" rack. The included professional switching power supply offers safe operation world wide, even when the power lines are weak or noisy.
OctaMic gives you 4 more balanced XLR mic inputs, a total of eight. It also adds frontside switches for power and output reference of --10 dBV, +4 dBu or max. level (+21 dBu). The OctaMic also has a 25-pin D-sub connector, which allows direct and lockable connection to RME's 8-channel converters ADI-8 PRO and DS with just one cable.
Manufacturer's suggested retail pricing: t.b.a. Expected to ship at the end of 2.quarter 2003.
