Unity Version 3.1 for Mac Released April 8, 2003
BitHeadz has begun
shipping the newest versions of Unity Session, Unity DS-1, Unity AS-1 and
Unity Combo for Mac OS 9 and X.
This latest release will primarily focus on the Unity line integrating with
sequencers under the OS X operating system. One of the new features that
BitHeadz will be adding is support for Apple's Audio Units. This will enable
users to integrate with current OSX compatible sequencers, like Logic, that
support audio units.
In addition, version 3.1 will bring support for Digidesign's Real Time
Audio Suite (RTAS) and Steinberg's Virtual Studio Technology (VST) in OSX.
The previous versions allowed sequencer support for Pro Tools, Logic
Digital Performer and Cubase in OS 9. Users will now be able to integrate
the Unity 3.1 products with Pro Tools 6.0, Cubase SX and Logic in OSX.
Other features in version 3.1 include updated graphics, a new librarian
window so that you can easily create libraries, and a control panel window
template so that you can change the colors of the windows, like the company
has done with their Phrazer 2.0 line.
A plug-in edit button has been added as well as minor bug fixes and other
enhancements. The update will be free to all current 3.0.x users and will be
available for download from the company web site.
