Focusrite's first plug-ins since the d2 and d3 are now available. The Forte Suite brings the Focusrite signature sound to Pro Tools with sophisticated modeling of the ISA 110 EQ and ISA 130 dynamics processors, the two key modules from Focusrite's definitive analog console, the Focusrite Forte. The Forte Suite supports TDM and RTAS on Mac OS X and Windows XP.
Reflecting its ISA 110 and ISA 130 module heritage, the Forte Suite includes a host of powerful processing tools including a six-band EQ, compressor, gate, and expander. The Forte Suite is scalable, offering the ability to use both the ISA 110 and ISA 130 modules in a single plug-in as a "channel strip," and the ability to use the ISA 110, ISA 130 dynamics, and ISA 130 compressor plug-ins separately. In addition, the ISA 130 compressor supports all Pro Tools surround formats.
"The design mission for this product was to accurately create the authentic experience of using vintage Focusrite hardware within the Pro Tools environment," states Robert Jenkins, Focusrite's director of product strategy. "To achieve this goal, we had to create unique design methods and development tools that gave us a level of plug-in accuracy never before seen. This level of design sensitivity meant that all the dynamic and real-time sonic characteristics of the original circuit hardware were accurately recreated in the Forte plug-in design."
Within the Forte Suite, control sets for the modules are exact replications of the originals, from frequency selection to side-chain and insert functionality -- no dial has been left unturned. In addition, the Forte Suite includes graphs representing the EQ, Compressor, and Gate, aiding in both the operation and visualization of these processors.
Focusrite has chosen to offer the Forte Suite exclusively for Pro Tools, taking advantage of the power of Pro Tools|HD Accel and its 192 kHz-processing capabilities.
