New Book Covering Mackie's Hard Disk Recorders Published
November 8, 2004
Author, magazine writer, and reviewer Mike Rivers has released a new book for owners of the Mackie HDR24/96 and MDR24/96 24-track hard disk recorders. This book is not a publication of Mackie, Division of LOUD Technologies, but rather is published by the author through Cafe Press.
Since its introduction in 2000, the Mackie hard disk recorder has seen several software updates which, beyond Version 1.2, have been documented only through brief release notes. This book supplements existing Mackie documentation, updating it to the latest (and last) software revisions. In addition to explaining the new features, The Last Mackie Hard Disk Recorder Manual includes operating tips, troubleshooting procedures, and modifications to improve operating performance, and extend the useful life of the recorder. A companion CD includes maintenance tools and handy application programs.
Author Mike Rivers, under contract to Mackie, wrote the original Quick Start Manual, Editing Guide, and Technical Reference Manual for the HDR24/96. He has been a regular user of the Mackie recorders since the introduction of the HDR24/96.
The Last Mackie Hard Disk Recorder Manual can be ordered on line from www.cafepress.com/mikerivers
