PRESS RELEASE

Vintage Tone Project, Dan Armstrong to Produce Orange Crusher Pedal and More

Dan Armstrong Orange CrusherApril 15, 2004

Through a new relationship with legendary effects guru Dan Armstrong, Vintage Tone Project will be releasing on April 23rd Dan Armstrong's updated version of the famed Orange Squeezer compressor. Dan has done a number of things to update and improve the Orange Squeezer, and he has given it a new name, too - the Orange Crusher.

The Orange Crusher is on the floor in stompbox form with an indicator light, a volume control, a stomp switch, and battery eliminator jack, all in a little orange box.

The Orange Crusher is a compressor designed specially for the electric guitar. Ordinary compressors can lose the guitar's attack, but the Orange Crusher is designed to enhance it, according to the company. The Orange Crusher can be used for bass and keyboards, too.

Dan has been involved in all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure that it is exactly the way that he envisions it. Dan has mandated that the Orange Crusher will be the Squeezer the way he always wanted it. The new Orange Crusher is built specifically to withstand the abuses of the road and still sound great in the studio. The Orange Crusher's features include a bombproof, powder-coated, cast-aluminum box, heavy-duty stomp switch, and Switchcraft input and output jacks.

The Dan Armstrong Orange Crusher will be available beginning April 23rd directly from Vintage Tone Project, and later from a limited number of select retailers. As an added bonus, Dan Armstrong will be personally signing the first 200 units produced. These signed Orange Crushers will be distributed in the same order in which the orders are received.

Dan Armstrong, working with Vintage Tone Project, plans to release several other effects in the near future. These will include the Purple Peaker and Yellow Humper together and updated in the same pedal. The Clanger will also debut in the near future, combining the Blue Clipper and Green Ringer in a new, updated pedal. Other new, analog effects are on the horizon, including a dynamic octave divider.
