New Instrument Stand Designed to be Nearly Invisible

(Click for a close-up)
January 5, 2004

Formed from a single piece of 1/2" solid steel the ShadowStand is a unique and artful new concept in the realm of stand design. Powder coated in black the ShadowStand sports a padded, garment-grade, natural leather yoke which suspends the guitar by the headstock. ShadowStand's minimalistic design approach allows for very little of the stand to be seen when in use making for a clean and uncluttered "presentation" of the instrument.

Three different ShadowStand models are offered for guitars, designed to accommodate dreadnaughts and most hollow body electrics, electrics with symmetrical headstocks, and electrics with asymmetrical headstocks, plus there are two more models for electric basses with symmetrical and asymmetrical headstocks.

The company also offers one other stand dubbed the YardStick. Designed for outdoor use, the YardStick has a stake at the bottom rather than a base for a flat surface. Simply place the YardStick where you want it and step down to push the stake into the ground.
