KRK Systems RoKit Personal Shielded Monitor July 11, 1997
Huntington Beach, California - KRK Systems, Inc. announces the launch of the new RoKit
Personal Shielded Monitor.
The RoKit is a passive, two-way, shielded personal studio monitor featuring a 6 1/2" polyvinyl
proprietary long-stroke woofer, as well as a 1" silk-dome tweeter. The monitor provides 75 watts
of power, with a frequency response of 69 Hz - l9kHz (+/- 3 dB). The RoKit has a crossover
point of 1.5 kHz and sensitivity of 91 dB (1 watt @ 1 meter). Maximum SPL is measured at 104
dB with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.
The RoKit measures 12.5" (H) x 10.5" (W) x 8" (D) and comes with the same custom gray texture
cabinet finish found with the K-RoK personal studio monitor.
According to Keith Klawitter, President of KRK Systems, Inc., the development of the new RoKit
results partly from the success of the K-RoK monitor. "In the past, everyone wanted the quality of
KRK," says Klawitter, "but driver technology simply did not make it possible to provide such
quality at a price considered reasonable to the first time buyer. Now, after having worked for years
on the new driver design, developments have allowed us to lower the cost, while providing the
same quality and driver technology to the first time buyer in the musical instrument market."
RoKits retail at $ 329.00 per pair. For more information, visit their web site at www.krksys.com. |
