Audix Announces HT-1 Headset Mic July 1, 1998Audix announces the introduction of the HT-1, a professional headset microphone with a full-range, clear sound that is the Audix hallmark. The HT-1 is the ultimate, hands-free solution for keyboard players, drummers, vocalists, aerobics instructors, and on-stage presenters.
The HT-1 offers excellent off-axis rejection, often difficult to achieve with mics of this type. Made of a composite molded material, the headset is extremely lightweight, padded for comfort and completely resistant to moisture. Its adjustable, behind-the-head design assures a secure fit. The microphone is designed for optimum sound off-center of mouth and will stay in place, allowing for easy, unobstructed movement. Am adjustable gooseneck allows for precise positioning. The HT-1 can be used with wireless transmitters or as a standalone cabled microphone with phantom power.
"Audix has had requests from many of our professional users to produce a high-quality headset mic like the HT-1," says Cliff Castle, Audix Vice President of Sales. "It's difficult to get a fall range of sound from such a small mic, but I think our users will be impressed with the sound of the HT-1."
The HT-1 is available from authorized Audix dealers at a suggested retail price of $299 (U.S.) and comes with a phantom power adapter (9-52 V). A battery/phantom power body pack is optional.
