Shure Introduces New UHF System at Summer NAMM '98
July 10, 1998Shure introduced a series of new UHF wireless microphone systems at this year's Summer NAMM. Incorporating many of the same features found on their professional UHF products, the new units collectively comprise the UT Series, a product group which effectively extends Shure's T Series of VHF wireless systems into the realm of UHF operation.
Offered in versions with up to eight compatible frequencies operable between 600 to 862 MHz, each turnkey UT Series system will include a wireless microphone or a bodypack transmitter, and a newly-designed, proprietary MARCAD UHF diversity receiver. UT Systems include: The Guitarist UHF (for electric guitars, basses, and other instruments), The Headset UHF (for DJs and other performers requiring a hands-free microphone), The Vocal Artist UHF (offered with an SM58 or BG3.1 transmitter), and The Presenter UHF (offered with a WL184 or WL185 lavalier microphone).
