New Powerbook Series Of Digital Audio
Products From BIAS
February 23, 2000
Berkley Integrated Audio Software (BIAS) now offers
a wide variety of individual products and bundled audio solutions for
Macintosh G3 PowerBook owners. This range of options allows individual
performance needs and and budgets to be met without sacrificing portability.
There
are so many different audio products to choose from these days,
says Andrew Calvo, BIASs VP of Sales, and more coming out
all the time. This makes it increasingly difficult and time-consuming
for people to figure out what they really need. With our new offerings
we want to simplify that process for musicians and engineers using PowerBook
computers.
Each of the three BIAS/PowerBook bundles comes with the new VXpocket
® PCMCIA card from Digigram. A $729 value by itself, the VXpocket
comes with two balanced 24-bit analog converters, S/PDIF input and output,
SMPTE input, compatability with sam-ple rates from 8 to 48 kHz, and hardware
support for simultaneous record and play-back.
The card ships with both Sound Manager and ASIO drivers, and is fully
tested and approved for use with biasPEAK le 2.1, biasPEAK 2.1, and biasDeck.
When combined with BIAS software, the VXpocket will transform any G3 PowerBook
into a complete mobile audio workstation, perfect for recording anywhere
in the world.
The three bundles offered by BIAS are distinguished by the software
that comes along with the VXpocket.
