DOD VoFX Vocal Multi-Effects Processor
January 16, 1997
The new VoFX from DOD is a personal, floor-controlled multi-effects processor
exclusively for vocalists.
Physically resembling DOD's Acoustic 1 and TEC8 multi-effects guitar processors, the VoFX allows singers to manipulate their vocal effects on stage in real time. With the VoFX, no longer does everyone in the band have to have the same vocal effects, or have their effects inappropriately used by the sound engineer.
Every effect that a vocalist could want is included in the VoFX, including Delay, Reverb, Compression, EQ, Noise Gate and a modulation section that includes Chorus, Flanger, Phase Shift, Pitch Shift and Tremolo. Also included are DOD's Pixellator, Ring Modulator and Vocal Distortion for a wide range of bizarre tools. Equipped with 30 factory presets and 30 user-definable programs, up to seven effects may be utilized at the same time to provide exactly what the vocalist is looking for.
An XLR input on the rear panel of the VoFX accommodates just about any microphone on the market, while a line out connects to the mic input of a PA to afford real-time control of the unit's effects. Perfect for anything from one-man bands to "industrial nightmares ", DOD's VoFX is every singer's dream. For more information, visit their web site at www.dod.com. |
