Korg Releases Trinity Software Upgrades
January 16, 1997
As part of their commitment to Korg users, Korg USA is releasing two new software packages for their Trinity DRS keyboards. Both Version 2.0 and Version 2.1 will be available shortly.
Version 2.0 software makes Trinity DRS music workstations equipped with Korg's PBS-TRI and a SCSI-TRI or HDR-TRI options compatible with Program Files and Sample Files from the Akai S1000 and S3000 CD-ROM libraries. In addition, Version 2.0 enables PBS-TRI equipped Trinity keyboards to read WAV files. Other features of Version 2.0 software include: Select By Category dialog box; Enable 10s Hold; Shortcut in Program Play mode and Combination Play mode; Pan OFF; MIDI track Solo function in Sequencer mode, enhanced Delete function, Free Time display; and Sequence mode pause function. Version 2.0 software is available free from all authorized Korg Dealers and Korg Service Centers.
In direct response to feedback from end-users, Korg has also introduced Version 2.1 software for the Trinity DRS keyboards. Version 2.1 is for Trinity Hard Disk Recording users, and enables Recording and Playback using removable media drives. Korg is recommending the JAZ(TM) drive as a suitable removable media for use with Version 2.1. The new Version 2.1 software further enhances the Trinity's capabilities and is available from authorized Korg Service Centers. Version 2.1 software is "free", but will require a small installation fee. For more information, visit their web site at www.korg.com. |
