Korg Releases New Pattern Collections For Sequencing January 28, 1999Korg USA
has recently released a collection of seven pattern disks for musicians who
want new phrases to make music quickly and easily. Two of the collections are
exclusively for the Trinity series of music workstations. These new pattern
disks are:
"Wave Sequences" (TFD-103P), featuring 200 patterns which actually
recreates the acclaimed wave sequencing of the original Wavestation products
through the use of accurately timed program changes for use in the Trinity's
sequencer. Along with different note phrases this is an easy cut-and-paste method
to add this unique sonic effect to your music.
"Trendy Loops" (TFD-104P), a collection of 200 drum, pad and bass
patterns for creating Trance, Hip Hop, Trip Hop and other electronic music styles
easily.
The next group of titles offer both Trinity-native and SMF versions of their
patterns, which makes them compatible with Korg's N364/N264, X3, O1W and i/iS
series keyboards, as well as computers and other GM/SMF compatible instruments.
"Trance" (SMFP-01) contains over 150 patterns specifically for Trance
dance-style music, including drum loops, drum fills, bass lines and synth riffs.
"Techno" (SMFP-02) contains over 150 patterns specifically for Techno
dance-style music, including drum loops, drum fills, bass lines and synth riffs.
"Garage" (SMFP-03) contains 297 patterns arranged as construction
kit tracks for building dance tracks. This gives the user full band patterns
and then each element of the band separately for maximum flexibility.
"Jungle" contains 198 patterns also arranged as construction kit
elements.
"Hip-Hop" (SMFP-04) offers 223 patterns also arranged as construction
kit elements.
Each pattern collection also includes Click & Play, a dual-platform CD-ROM
with over 400 Mbytes of tutorial on using these patterns with Korg keyboards
or your computer. Each title has a suggested list price of $45 and is currently
available. For more information, visit Korg at http://www.korg.com/ |
